Give Dad a Father’s Day gift that celebrates his hobbies

Handmade clock using fabric print design made for Father's day

Make a bespoke clock in Dad’s club colours or get a special design printed to reflect his interests.

Dad’s are tricky to buy for aren’t they? Well mine is. Here’s a fail-safe Father’s Day gift – a handmade timepiece that he’ll love. Here I’ve made two – one for my Dad in his football team colours and another for a good green-fingered friend of mine who is a marvellous father.

To make these Father’s day gifts I used Needcraft clock kits, everything comes in a handy pack with full instructions, I just needed to add the fabric.

I made the first fabric design in my dad’s club colours using pen strokes in different shades of blue. I then uploaded my design onto Spoonflower’s design tool and got my fabric printed from there. A fat-quarter was all I needed so I ordered this and cut it to size once it had arrived.

The second design I made use of the Dannells bespoke printing service. I used one of my succulent watercolour drawings for this as my friend is really quite obsessed with them. It was handily the same size as the PVC panel – it fit like a glove!
